"Complex dynamical systems"

Date: Fri, October 2, 2009
Time: 11:15
Place: Research I Seminar Room

Abstract: This talk will be an introduction into the field of complex dynamical systems and its relations to various other branches of mathematics, including geometry, topology, algebra, numerics, and others - even number theory. I will define some of the main objects in the field and discuss several of the open questions and their relations.

This talk is mainly directed to beginning graduate students, but undergraduates and advanced graduate students in other fields are equally welcome to see what kind of research is being conducted on this campus.
