Abstract: In the talk I will describe the iterated monodromy groups (IMGs) associated with post-critically finite quadratic polynomials. I will talk about the connection between IMGs and some standard notions from complex dynamics (e.g. the kneading sequence of the polynomial, the mating). At the end I will also say something about the algebraic properties of IMGs of quadratic polynomials, like torsion and "branchness".
