Abstract: In this talk we will be discussing the application of random matrices to quantum physics. We will focus primarily on Gaussian distributions. We'll discuss probability distributions of matrix elements and eigenvalues of matrices in the Gaussian ensemble, and, as a final point, we'll attempt to show how the semi-circular law can be used when working with experimental data.
