Abstract: This talk is concerned with my research progress on the Lie algebras \(\mathfrak{sl}_\infty(\mathbb{C})\) and some other locally finite Lie algebras such as \(\mathfrak{so}_\infty(\mathbb{C})\) and \(\mathfrak{sp}_\infty(\mathbb{C})\). The theory of Coxeter groups is usually done when the generating sets are finite. I shall expand this theory to include the case where the generating sets are infinite. With this expanded theory, we can develop a Kazhdan-Lusztig theory for each of the Lie algebras of interest.
