Abstract: Presentation of progress on generalising Thurston theory of the dynamics of exponential maps to larger classes of entire maps. The main content of the presentation will be estimating distortion of the quadratic differential \(dz^2 / z^2\) on round annuli under pushforwards by arbitrary holomorphic maps.
