Abstract: I will recall the theory of impartial games and octal games and introduce one interesting example of an impartial game: "Dynamite Kayles". I will present an effective winning strategy for it using dynamic programming, prove a general periodicity result for a family of variations of the octal game "0.337" and apply this result to "Dynamite Kayles".
