We describe the symbiotic relationship between

• the recent theory of function spaces on euclidean n-spaces Rⁿ, characterised by atomic, subatomic and wavelet expansions,
• the fractal analysis, especially on d-sets in Rⁿ, and
• the analysis on abstract quasi-metric spaces, especially d-spaces, including their embedding in Rⁿ via snowflaked transforms.
