"Some criteria for the breakdown of smooth solutions for the 3-D Euler equations"

Abstract: I will explain results by Beale-Kato-Majda and Ponce, which state that for a smooth solution of the 3D Euler equations to lose regularity it is necessary for a time integral of the infinity norm of the vorticity/deformation tensor to grow unbounded.
