Abstract: We study sampling of operators and the problem of reconstructing the spreading function and the kernel of the time-varying channel operator from the response of the operator to a weighted delta train. In my part, I studied the stochastic distribution of the condition number of a Gabor system, which is extensively implemented in the reconstruction process. I have also created some movie files that encapsulate the resolution improvement of the recovered spreading function and kernel, as the number of delta functions in the delta-train signal increases. This work was done under the supervision of Prof. Pfander and Pavel Zheltov.
