Abstract: The global structure of complex algebraic and compact Kähler manifolds of semi-positive Ricci curvature (resp. non-negative anti-canonical class) will be discussed both from a differential-geometric and an algebro-geometric point of view. The basic notions of the theory will be explained in detail. Connections to birational geometry will also be discussed.
