Abstract: Phase retrieval is a non-convex inverse problem arising in many practical applications, such as diffraction imaging, speech recognition and many more. More precisely, we seek to recover a signal of interest from its intensity measurements with respect to some measurement frame. In practice, phaseless measurements with respect to a Gabor frame are relevant for many applications.

We are going to present a recovery algorithm and analyse its stability in presence of noise. Our algorithm is based on the idea of polarization, proposed by Alexeev, Bandeira, Fickus and Mixon. Stability analysis of the algorithm gives a rise to investigation of geometric properties of Gabor frames, which are not only important for the robustness of the phase retrieval algorithm, but are of general interest for Gabor analysis.
