Abstract: In this talk a detailed proof of Bruhat decomposition of a (compact) flag manifold X=G/Q will be presented, where G is a connected complex semisimple Lie group and Q is a parabolic subgroup. Provided enough time, a few consequences will be discussed at the end, which are basic for the flag domains.
