Modern Mathematics - International Summer School
A typical day will have a combination of plenary lectures and
parallel lectures by internationally leading mathematicians, with
ample opportunity for formal and informal interaction between
lecturers and students, as well as with tutors. There will be also
free time with opportunity for sports, games, and relaxation.
We are planning to offer a full-day excursion into the beautiful
neighorhood of Bremen, as well as a half-day excursion to historic
downtown Bremen with a river cruise.
The detailed program will be posted on this page closer to the
start of the summer school.
A more detailed summary of the goals and experiences from the first
International Summer School for Students can be found in this opinion
piece by Étienne Ghys and Sergei Tabachnikov which appeared in the March
2012 issue of the Notices of the American Mathematical Society.
